Adventurous Travel’s Terms, conditions, and policies

Deposit and Payment Policies:

  • For City tours and day excursions in Peru:

Option 1: Full payment can be done until 1 week before tour date via Visa link (preferable)

Option 2: 20% payment can be done until 1 week before tour date via visa link and the balance paid with Visa or POS Visa the day of the tour or Cash payment. 

  • For Trips in Peru or South America:

A payment of 75% of the full price is done with a minimum of 90 days (3 months) before arrival to Peru or South America and the starting date of the program. We will send you a receipt for the Payment to your personal email immediately, the balance (25%) is paid upon arrival on day 1 of our program and a physical receipt will be given for the full payment. 

Note: For identification purposes before the Peruvian sales tax company SUNAT we need you to add the passport number on our Visa Link form (only universal document accepted) from the credit card holder, we will also need a picture of that passport sent via email. Peru is in a fight against Money Laundry and is necessary to identify any international transactions properly. With this action, you also avoid paying added Peruvian sales tax by identifying as an international client. 

Refund Policies:

Any deposits from you are non-refundable. Payment of a deposit enables us to hold a reservation for you but does not guarantee the price. The price can only be guaranteed once we receive the initial payment and travel bookings have been issued.

Our compromise:

As no Refund policies apply to our trips and social conflicts such as protests, climatic problems or natural disasters are common thing in our region, Adventurous Travel will work on your behalf in case any of these situations present, modifying your tour program as much we can to accomplish all the program offered and the activities included in our itinerary.

Payment methods:

  1. Wire Transaction (client pays the commission of transaction, commission depends on your bank) – Option for long trips only
  2. POS Visa: added commission 5% 
  3. Link Visa online: added commission 5 %
  4. PayPal system: added commission 3%
  5. Cash Payment (only on city tours)

IMPORTANT:

For tours: As a foreigner, 18%  Peruvian sales tax is not included in our tours prices, to complete booking we need a copy of your passport. A receipt will be done upon deposit.

For Trips: To complete the booking of your long trips of paying with VISA we will need a picture or photocopy of your passport  (this info will be treated with strict confidentiality). Passport copy is important for purchasing tickets and services, also excludes you from paying an added sales tax 18% Peruvian citizens pay, as a foreigner, you don’t pay this tax. . A receipt will be done upon deposit.

Cancellation Policies:

  • For City tours

It is requested a cancelation up to 2 weeks before the tour for a full refund, we will not cover the commission of transaction of your bank. Any cancellation from 2 weeks till the day of the tour will not have refound.

  • For Trip in Peru or South America

Cancellation of the trip can be done at any time, however, once initial payment has been done, no refunds apply to this option.

Travel and Medical insurance:

Adventurous Travel does not cover Travel or Health insurances, although still is your choice, is HIGHLY recommendable to purchase insurance before starting your trip in Peru or South America due to the nature of this territory, the elevations and the activities included. We don’t cover medical expenses or air tickets canceled due to climatic problems. Travel safe purchasing a full coverage travel insurances before your trip starts.

Your Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions:

By booking your tours and trips with us using our website http://www.adventuroustravelguide.com or our official email account info@adventuroustravelguide.com, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. You agree on behalf of yourself and those you represent to comply with all such terms and conditions, including the payment of all amounts when due. You are responsible for informing such other persons of all terms and conditions applicable to their travel arrangements. You understand that you are financially responsible for any use of our services or website by you and those using your name or account.

Recommendations to visit Lima on Winter

-In winter we recommend you to bring a light jacket for the tour, the temperature in Lima is about 15 degrees centigrades in day hours, humid and chilly near the seafront, a jacket or windbreaker will make a difference. We don’t get much rain in Lima (1 cubic centimeter per year) but drizzles are common, dress accordingly.

-We will always have walking involved on our tours in the downtown of Lima, Please dress comfortable with appropriate shoes. Dress modestly if you are visiting a church, monastery or synagogue during our tours.

-Don’t forget to bring your sunglasses, although not sunny, Lima’s sky during winter is mainly gray and bright, with very little sunlight and blue sky, Sunglasses will help you to enjoy better the panoramic view.

-Bring some cash for small purchases, dollars are not always accepted in shops. You can also use VISA cards in some stores.

-Put on sunscreen before your tour, Lima is not sunny at this time but the UV radiation still is very high (15 points in the city), one of the highest levels existing.

Recommendations to visit Lima on Summer

-During summer Lima has an average temperature of 30 degrees centigrades with high humidity, it is important to bring hats, sunglasses and water in all your tours and daytime activities.

-We always include in our tours a walking experience, confortable shoes will be needed.

-Dress modestly if you are visiting a church, monastery or synagogue during our tours.

-Bring some cash for small purchases, dollars are not always accepted in shops. You can also use VISA cards in some stores.

-Put on sunscreen before your tour, Lima is not sunny at this time but the UV radiation still is very high (15 points in the city), one of the highest levels existing.
