In a regular visit to the touristic heart of Lima, Miraflores, a visit to the Kennedy Park is almost mandatory. Considered the center of this district it has everything a visitor to this city may need: restaurants, department stores, souvenir shops, hotels, a playground… even bus tours depart from that zone too, and if you like cats, yes! street cats you will find here, dozens are displayed among the Central and Kennedy Parks.
Another important thing you will find here is the flea market of Kennedy Park, the smallest of this kind in the city and where the best bargains can be found (prices can be much lower than at an Inca-market or bigger artisanal gallery).
The place starts opening every day after 4 pm until 9 pm, at 5 pm all the stands are ready. After shopping you can go to one of my favorite nearby restaurants: Cafe de la Paz, Parquetito, La Lucha, Cafe Cafe and much more, enjoy lunch, dinner or just a good coffee and sandwich there, or get something sweet at D’Onofrio ice-cream shop or a Churro at Manolo.
