img_1439Is night time in Lima and you are looking for something different to do, in an open area maybe, something to share with your group of friends, family or children… If this is your case I have the perfect place: The Magic Circuit of Water of Lima is your best choice.

Located in the heart of the city, not far away from the old town, is by far the best night show that you can visit, the park has an old history that goes back to 1926 when was created to commemorate the battle of San Juan, Chorrillos, and Miraflores during the invasions of Chilean troops during the horrible  war with Chile occurred from 1879 until 1883 . The park was finished in 1929.

Since 2007, the park turned into the Magic Circuit of Water, with an international standards night show of Lights and water, the 13 fountains gained a Guinness record as the world’s largest fountain complex at a public park.

After visiting the fountains you have the go to see the main show, it is projected on the biggest fountain of all (is called Fuente de la Fantasia or Fantasy fountain). There are 3 shows per night: 7:15 pm, 8:15 pm and 9:30 pm. Make sure to be there at the right time, you don’t want to miss it!

There are 2 super fun fountains where children and adults can jump in and get completely wet, so don’t lose the opportunity of doing what all children had at least once dreamed of doing… playing in a real fountain! Travel tip: bring extra clothes and towel to change after this experience, there are several dressing rooms available.

Worried about the food? no problem, popcorn, sodas, hot dogs, cotton candy, and more… you won’t be hungry during this visit.

This fun-tastic place is open from Wednesday to Sunday The cost to visit this park is only 4 soles per person (about 1.50 dollars). Great entertainment option at a low cost.
